After a few attempts (and a little help from here) I got Win 10 running on my Acer Aspire 5750, used Drive Booster 2 to grab drivers, upgraded,. Installed, running, everything perfect for a few days. Cleaned up some space, dumped some old programes, and then today (after removing the windows.old folder as I was happy with how it was all running), suddenly my USB host controllers and flash-card drive controller drivers updated and are now showing 'code 48' for all the drivers I try to get going with them. They all have 'latest drivers' according to both DB2 and MS, but device disabled and blocked from starting. I recommend going with 8.1 over 10, as this will likely continue until the drivers are sorted. If you can't get into recovery, reboot the machine. While it's booting, hold the power button and kill it.

Luckily enough I had TeamViewer installed and was able to use my PC even without keyboard & mice. Asus AI suite also had some issues uninstalling itself (looks like their installer is a custom one and doesn`t behave adequately in Win10 env).
So I first had first to disable all the components of Asus drivers manually (through Autoruns utility). Then installed a newer package of AI suite over the installed version and finally it was then able to uninstall itself correctly and completely.
